However, I was dealing with a Chronic illness (CRPS) and  mental things (low self-esteem, anxiety, suicide, depression and cutting), my family knew about some of the things I was dealing with, and others they didn’t know about like the cutting.

In December 2024, my parents called Pastor John and asked if I could come to IXchange as a “saving grace.” I started IXchange with the first-year group (2024 intake) and was “loving it.”

I didn’t tell anyone until a week before the orientation trip. I spoke to someone, and they sensed that I wasn’t okay mentally, so they said someone we both knew had gone through the same thing as me. So, I confided in that said person.

While I was at home, my older sister called me and told me that the pastors had spoken to her about what had happened.

So, I went and told my parents what had been going on while I was in Witbank.

A week later, I went home because the pastors, with the help of the Holy Spirit, decided that I wouldn’t be going on the orientation trip.

After the orientation trip, when Pastor Christi returned, I had a meeting with her that Monday.

She told me that I needed to go home because, during this time, I needed to be with my parents to get the support I needed.

I thought Pastor Christi had made a huge mistake by sending me home. But around April or May, I had an encounter with God. It happened during a fast that the Lord led me to go on for my healing. I was in the bath, reading the Word, when He spoke to me and said,

While I was at home, I experienced a lot of difficulties. I hadn’t yet seen the full picture of why I needed to be home.

“Tsose, you were healed when I died on the cross. Now you just have to receive your healing.” From that moment, my relationship with God took a turn for the better, and I started seeing His love all around me.

That was when I decided in my heart to exchange and give God my FULL “Yes.”

I then realised that I wanted more encounters like the one I had that day in the bath.

But now I know I didn’t have to come here to experience these encounters cause God meets us wherever we at.

I am here because He wants me to be in His house, about His business with His children.

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. 7 If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.
